People enjoy snacking and sometimes when you are hungry, it is good to have a little something while on the go. The problem with most snacks is that they are loaded with sugar and empty carbs. There are some healthy snacks that you and your children can enjoy.

Apple Slices With Almond Butter

This snack adds some new flavor to apples. All you need to do is slice up the apple and serve it with some almond butter. The almond butter has a smooth texture and a good flavor. The almond butter is also packed with protein.

Asian Pears

These pears have a little bit of a different flavor than regular pears. They also have plenty of fiber, vitamins, and good carbs for energy. They are great to eat before you workout or send your children to their sports practice.

Sugar-Free Pudding

Pudding is easy to make and is a great treat. When it is made with nonfat milk it will be low in calories and high in protein. Children will think they are getting a treat while they are eating healthy.

Greek Yogurt & Fresh Berries

Greek yogurt has a thicker texture and it contains a high amount of calcium and protein. You can add some sliced berries such as strawberries or blueberries to yogurt. This will allow you to have a healthy snack that is still low in calories.

Cottage Cheese & Cinnamon

Cottage cheese is one of the best types of cheese to eat. It is filling and high in protein. Cinnamon will help reduce blood sugar levels and will add a new taste to the cheese that the children will like.

Celery & Cream Cheese

Celery is a vegetable that is very low in calories. It will also help reduce inflammation in the body. Cream cheese will add some flavor to the celery and will get children to want to eat it.

Cucumber & Hummus

Cucumbers are mostly water so they will be low in calories and they will also help give the body hydration that is maybe missing. Hummus will help reduce inflammation.

Hummus is made with chickpeas and also contains spices such as garlic. Children like to dip their vegetables into things so there is a healthy way to get a double vegetable serving.

Tomatoes & Mozzarella

Tomatoes and cheese is a great combination. Tomatoes contain vitamins and potassium. The cheese is high in protein. You can slice the tomatoes and top them with mozzarella. You can also use cherry tomatoes and pair it with this cheese.

Chia Pudding

This is a new take on pudding. Chia seeds contain a high amount of fiber. They are also vegan and keto-friendly. Chia can also help reduce inflammation in the body. Using the seeds in the pudding will give it some flavor and will be a snack that children will want to try.
